Lone Star Insurance Appraisers

Who You Are Hiring

Lone Star Insurance Appraisers is Justin Nordmeyer, a Texas licensed All-Lines adjuster who serves as an appraiser and umpire in property insurance disputes across Texas.

Justin Nordmeyer

When you name us as your appraiser, or when a carrier, an attorney, or a public adjuster brings us in, Justin is the one who inspects the property, builds the valuation, and works the file through to the award.

Justin has spent nearly a decade adjusting property claims in Texas as a licensed All-Lines adjuster, working wind, hail, hurricane, fire, and water losses on residential and commercial property. For the last eight years he has also served as an insurance appraiser, including hurricane and tornado appraisals, hired by carriers and brought in by attorneys, public adjusters, contractors, and insureds.

As an Executive General Adjuster he runs large-loss work: he has led the adjustment of three 30-story towers and multiple complexes of 30 or more buildings, and has handled more than 100 commercial claims, along with 11+ catastrophe deployments. He also comes from a general contracting background across residential and commercial construction, which shows up in the estimates: they are built the way the repair will actually be built.

He is based on South Padre Island, works out of the Rio Grande Valley, and travels statewide.

Lone Star Insurance Appraisers is a service of NACL Group LLC.

Credentials and Experience

The Three Roles We Serve

Policyholder appraiser. We serve as your named appraiser when you invoke appraisal or when your carrier does. The job is an honest, defensible valuation of your loss.
Carrier appraiser. We accept appraisal assignments from carriers and independent adjusting firms that need an experienced, credentialed appraiser on the ground in Texas.
Umpire. When both appraisers agree to it, or a court appoints one, we serve as umpire and issue the deciding award.

The standard is the same in every role: the number has to hold up line by line, whoever hired us.

How Fees Work

Fees depend on the size and complexity of the loss and on the role we are asked to fill: policyholder appraiser, carrier appraiser, or umpire. You get the fee in writing before you retain us, so there are no surprises later. There is no charge to talk through your situation and find out whether appraisal, and whether we, fit it.
